President Trump says he thinks former President Obama is “behind” the recent protests at town halls that Republican congressmen have been holding in their districts and that some of the government leaks could be coming from people loyal to Mr. Obama.

“I think he is behind it. I also think it’s politics. That’s the way it is,” Mr. Trump said in an interview that aired Tuesday on “Fox & Friends.”

“I think that President Obama’s behind it,” Mr. Trump said. “Because his people are certainly behind it.”

“And some of the leaks possibly come from that group,” he said. “Which are really very serious leaks, because they’re very bad in terms of national security.”

“But I also understand that’s politics, and in terms of him being behind things. That’s politics,” Mr. Trump said. “And it will probably continue.”

“I’m not really surprised, because I understand the way the world works. It’s politics,” he said. “I’m changing things that he’s wanted to do.”
