President Trump called for the U.S. to “GET SMART” in a Twitter post Friday morning after an attack at the Louvre Museum in Paris that authorities there suspect is terrorist-related.

A man wielding a blade attacked soldiers, and was shot by a soldier guarding the iconic French museum. Reports from the scene say the man shouted “Allahu Akbar,” or “God is greatest,” as he attacked.

Mr. Trump, in a tweet just before 8 a.m. in Washington, weighed in, saying it was another wake-up call.

Mr. Trump wrote: “A new radical Islamic terrorist has just attacked in Louvre Museum in Paris. Tourists were locked down. France on edge again. GET SMART U.S.”

The president has been under fire for a new executive order he signed a week ago imposing extra scrutiny on travelers from seven majority-Muslim countries. Many of those who had visas to come to the U.S. have been denied boarding on airplanes.
