MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont House has approved a resolution that calls for a recount in a race that was decided by a few votes.
Robert Frenier, a Republican, beat Susan Hatch Davis, a five-term Progressive incumbent, in the Orange County race by eight votes on Election Day. A recount narrowed it to seven votes.
Hatch Davis prevailed and the House is now convening a 23-member member panel to conduct a second recount and create rules and procedures governing the recount.
