KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A man has received two life sentences for his role in the murder of a North Knoxville couple during 2011 home invasion.
Media outlets report that Knox County prosecutors say in a new release that a judge on Wednesday sentenced 36-year-old Benjamin Foust on murder charges in the deaths of 45-year-old Eric Marsh and 39-year-old Dena Marsh.
In 2013, Foust was convicted of killing the couple and other charges including robbery and arson.
Prosecutors say Foust and two co-defendants broke into a home, where they beat the victims with a hammer, stole opiate painkillers, a safe and a shotgun and set the house on fire.
Teddie Jones received two life sentences plus 75 years in the case and Ashley Tanner was sentenced to 25 years.
