CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (AP) - Pinal County authorities have arrested a 26-year-old murder suspect but are still looking for the alleged victim, a missing man whose car was found abandoned in the desert.
William Daniel Randolph was arrested Wednesday and jailed Thursday on suspicion of premediated first-degree murder, hindering prosecution and abandonment or concealment of a body.
The Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that a black Dodge pickup truck “used during the commission of a homicide in the Arizona City area” was found at a Casa Grande body shop.
The car of 25-year-old Cody Robert Virgin was found abandoned in a desert area south of Arizona City. Virgin hadn’t shown up for work or contacted his employer.
Online court records don’t list an attorney who could comment on the allegations on behalf of Randolph.
