Police investigating after body found in desert

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nevada (AP) - North Las Vegas police say they’re investigating a possible homicide after a body was found in the desert.

Police said the person was discovered Monday afternoon near Statz Street and Rome Boulevard.

Authorities didn’t immediately release further details about the person or cause of death.
