KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say a 30-year-old man has been sentenced to 28 years in prison in the shooting death of another man in Kansas City.
The Jackson County prosecutor’s office says 30-year-old Lorenzo Washington was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of 52-year-old Thomas Kuzila Jr.
Police say Kuzila was found shot to death in January 2016 in an alley. Investigators believed his pickup truck was stolen after the shooting.
