RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 24-year-old Nevada woman has been sentenced to five to 20 years in state prison for her felony convictions in a crash in Reno that severely injured two men a little more than two years ago.

Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks said Wednesday that Nicole Gabrielle Cote of Sun Valley was sentenced Tuesday for driving under the influence and reckless driving causing substantial bodily harm.

Cote was found guilty at trial in August of causing a December 2014 crash in a supermarket parking lot on Virginia Street.

Hicks says Cote’s car was estimated to be going 60 mph when it hit the passenger side of another car, badly injuring the driver and causing head injuries to a 19-year-old passenger who was in a coma for about a month.
