UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - Prosecutors say a Prince George’s County police officer has pleaded guilty to taking inappropriate photos of women, including while he was on duty.

The county state’s attorney’s office said in a news release that James Sims pleaded guilty on Tuesday to visual surveillance with prurient interest and misconduct in office.

Authorities say Sims took “upskirt” photos of two women he had pulled over on traffic stops.

Officials say on June 1, an off-duty police officer from another jurisdiction saw Sims taking upskirt pictures of her in a store in Bowie. Officials say she confronted Sims and called police.

Sims remains suspended with pay from the department. Sentencing is set for Feb. 17.
