MORRISTOWN, N.J. (AP) - A former first-grade teacher who sexually assaulted four female students and had sex with a teenage girl he met while serving as a high school track coach has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Morris County prosecutors say Jason Fennes also must register as a sex offender und the sentence imposed Friday.

The 42-year-old Bloomfield man had pleaded guilty last September to two counts of aggravated sexual assault and three counts of sexual assault. Fennes taught in the Montville school district from 1998 until June 2010.

Fennes initially was arrested after a teenage girl told authorities that he had abused her while she was a student in his first grade class. Four more girls soon came forward to say Fennes also had abused them when they were young students.
