SALEM, N.J. (AP) - A Philadelphia man accused of fatally shooting a man in front of a New Jersey cemetery and stealing his car with the victim’s year-old son inside has been indicted on murder charges.

Hakeem Williams also faces several other counts - including carjacking, kidnapping and child endangerment, in the indictment handed up by a Salem County grand jury. He remains jailed on $1 million bail.

Authorities say the 31-year-old Williams shot 24-year-old Jakaye Ingram of Pennsville last July. Ingram’s child was later found unharmed after Williams allegedly abandoned the vehicle in Philadelphia.

Authorities say the child was in the car’s back seat, strapped in his car seat. It’s not clear if Williams knew the child was in the vehicle when he stole it.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
