CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) - Police on Long Island say a man was killed and a woman was injured in a gang-related shooting at a deli in Central Islip.
Police say they believe 29-year-old Esteban Alvarado-Bonilla was targeted in the shooting inside El Campesino deli Monday morning.
Alvarado-Bonilla, of Brentwood, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the woman, who was working at the deli, was shot accidentally. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
