WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut are investigating the death of a 20-year-old man who was found shot multiple times in the yard of an abandoned home in Waterbury.

The Republican-American reports (https://bit.ly/2jkH6Gu ) the body of Savion Bostic-Aponte was discovered over the weekend in a residential neighborhood of the city.

Detectives believe Bostic-Aponte was fatally shot in front of the derelict structure, most likely on Friday night. Residents living on the block where the victim was located told police they heard gunshots in the area around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

No arrests have been made. Police say they are pursuing all leads and asking anyone with information to call them.
