SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Authorities say a Kearns woman is facing attempted murder charges after stabbing and critically injuring her boyfriend in the home they shared together.

Twenty-two-year-old Koraima Herrera was arrested Saturday and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.

Unified police Lt. Brian Lohrke says Herrera and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument before she pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the chest.

The victim remained in critical condition Sunday.
