Mississippi teenager found dead of apparent gunshot wound

ABERDEEN, Miss. (AP) - Officials say a Mississippi teenager was found dead in a neighbor’s yard.

The Monroe Journal reports the body of 17-year-old LaQuinton Walker was found Sunday morning in a neighbor’s yard.

Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley says Walker died of an apparent gunshot wound.

Walker’s body was taken to the Mississippi Forensics Laboratory for an autopsy. Aberdeen police are investigating the shooting.
