AMARILLO, Texas (AP) - An Amarillo woman has been sentenced to almost two years in federal prison after admitting that she sold more than $400,000 in fraudulent vouchers for future airline travel.

A statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office says Ai Inthavong Lopez was sentenced Tuesday in Amarillo to 34 months in prison after she pleaded guilty to a mail fraud count. U.S. District Judge Sidney Fitzwater also ordered her to pay more than $400,000 in restitution.

Lopez admitted to setting up a phone bank that cold-called customers and offered to sell them vouchers for air travel. Those vouchers were fake.
