GRETNA, La. (AP) - A grand jury has indicted a man on four counts of first-degree murder in the March deaths of three men and a woman at an apartment complex in a New Orleans suburb.
New Orleans media report that a grand jury handed up indictments Thursday against 21-year-old Armande (AHR’-mahnd) Stephen Tart.
First-degree murder charges carry a possible death sentence.
Police answering a call to an apartment complex in Metairie (MEH’-tah-ree) found three bodies in one apartment - a married couple and a visiting family friend. They had been shot.
The body of a man who had been stabbed repeatedly in the head was found in another apartment.
Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand said the deaths were drug-related.
Tart is being held without bond. Online records did not identify his attorney.
