WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - Authorities have filed a murder charge against a Minot man accusing of killing a man in Williston.

Twenty-seven-year-old Alex Eggleston is accused in the Friday fatal shooting of 43-year-old Vance Neset. He could face life in prison if convicted of murder. He also faces a felony weapons charge.

Court documents don’t list an attorney for Eggleston. A message left at a telephone listing for him in Minot wasn’t immediately returned.

Neset is the stepson of former North Dakota Board of Higher Education Chairwoman Kathleen Neset.
