MONROE, La. (AP) - A man has been arrested after authorities say a traffic stop led to the seizure of more than $200,000 in drugs.

The News-Star reports 59-year-old Henry Armstrong was arrested and charged with several offenses including cultivation of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. The drugs were allegedly found in his possession during a traffic stop on July 10.

Sixty pounds (27 kilograms) of marijuana, 2 pounds (1 kilogram) of powdered cocaine, several ounces of methamphetamine and more than 700 pills were seized. Authorities say over $70,000 and several vehicles were also seized.

Morehouse Parish Sheriff Mike Tubbs says several search warrants have been executed since the traffic stop.

It’s unclear if Armstrong has a lawyer.
