INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Investigators say a woman was killed and a man was seriously wounded after the car they were in was riddled with bullets near Los Angeles.
Police in Inglewood say the driver of the car managed to pull into a gas station after being shot late Tuesday.
Sgt. Jeff LaGreek says the two victims were rushed to a hospital, where the woman died. The man was in serious but stable condition.
KABC-TV reports Wednesday that police say a verbal altercation might have preceded the shooting. Detectives are investigating whether it was gang related.
Police have not released a suspect description.
