Ex-Lincoln City Council member found dead outside car

LINCOLN CITY, Ore. (AP) - Lincoln City police say a former City Council member was found dead outside a vehicle.

The agency says 66-year-old Gary Ellingson called 9-1-1 shortly before his death Monday. The cause of death has not been released, but investigators found no evidence of foul play.

Lincoln City police said Ellingson lived in the city for many years and was a respected resident.
