It’s big, it’s luxurious and it’s Lexus. To say you have found your sweet spot with this vehicle is definitely true. Four wheeling in style with leather seats and a wood grained dash and you know it doesn’t really get any better. In fact, the 2017 Lexus LX 570 is the kind of user friendly vehicle that will allow you to carry as many as eight people and tow what you need behind you at the same time.

There were no changes made for the 2017 with this luxurious SUV so the LX 570 offers the same adventurous vibe as in years past. The competition for the 2017 Lexus LX 570 includes the Cadillac Escalade or the Mercedes-Benz GLS-class, both offering slightly friendlier miles per gallon. There is also the Range Rover and the Lincoln Navigator if you aren’t planning for as much off roading.

With three rows, the 2017 Lexus LX 570 is full size with only one trim. You get 20-inch wheels, height-adjustable adaptive suspension, automatic load leveling, LED automatic and adaptive LED headlights, fog lights and taillights and automatic dimming and power-folding mirrors with front and rear parking sensors. There is a sunroof, running boards, roof rack, power lift gate, keyless ignition and entry and a tow hitch. The leather on the seats is upscale to the touch as is the wood trim and there are heated front seats with driver memory settings.

In the second row, you get window shades and a 120-volt household-style power outlet in the cargo bay. For technology the infotainment system has a 12.3-inch display and there is also a navigation system with the Lexus Enform that offers all kinds of smartphone services. The Bluetooth phone and audio connect round out the package with nine speakers and USB ports in the front and second row.

If you want to add even more luxury, there is a Luxury package with upgraded leather, 21-inch wheels, heated steering wheel and 19 speakers.

Under the hood, the 2017 Lexus LX 570 has a 5.7-liter V8 engine with 383 horsepower and 403 pound-feet of torque. The seats are quite comfortable with great visibility and plenty of head and legroom all around. The third-row seat is a 50/50-split design that folds up against the sides of the cargo compartment and the second row is a 60/40-split that is reclining and power-sliding. For cargo space, with all the seats in use, you get 9.1 cubic feet of cargo space. When folded it is 45 cubic feet, which is less than a few of the rivals.
