CARY, N.C. (AP) - Police say a car plowed through the front of a store at a North Carolina mall when a driver hit the wrong pedal.
Authorities tell WRAL-TV a 71-year-old woman hit the accelerator instead of the brake on Wednesday afternoon, sending her car into the Christopher & Banks clothing store at the Cary Towne Center mall.
No injuries were reported, but inspectors were expected to check on any potential structural damage to the building.
Authorities said they didn’t expect to file any charges against the driver.
