PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say an assault rifle was used to kill a man at a housing project.

Police haven’t released the name of the man slain before police were called to Bartram Village about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers say they found the victim face-down on a sidewalk, shot in the head and torso. They say the man appeared to be in his 20s.

Police also found several shell casings in a grassy area about 30 feet away, which is how they were able to determine an assault weapon was used.
