Deputies: Man says he was shot in argument over car repair

MACON, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia man has been shot in what he says was a dispute over a car repair.

The Telegraph of Macon reports Bibb County sheriff’s deputies found 51-year-old Darrin Lewis sitting in a chair at a Macon residence with a gunshot wound on Saturday afternoon.

Lewis told deputies he was shot in the left leg by 27-year-old Marquez Treshad Tuff, his stepdaughter’s boyfriend. Lewis says Tuff had paid him to do some work on a car, but was dissatisfied with the work and shot Lewis during an ensuing argument.

Police are searching for Tuff. Lewis was treated at the Medical Center, Navicent Health.
