WISE, N.C. (AP) - Two wrecks have snarled traffic along Interstate 85 in two parts of North Carolina.

The Department of Transportation said I-85 was closed for several hours in both directions at exit 229 near the Virginia state line after a crash Monday.

Also, a jackknifed tractor trailer closed the southbound lanes of I-85 in the construction zone near the U.S. Highway 29 exit in Kannapolis.

Officials reopen the closed sections of highway by 6:30 p.m. Monday.
