SOLEBURY, Pa. (AP) - The body of a Philadelphia man has been pulled from a river where he was apparently overpowered by currents while swimming.

The Bucks County coroner didn’t immediately release the name of the man who is presumed to have drowned Tuesday in the Delaware River in Bucks County. That happened in Solebury Township, about 40 miles (64.4 kilometers) northeast of Philadelphia.

Township police say the 27-year-old man went under water about 1:15 p.m. and his body was found about 90 minutes later.

The man had been swimming near Washington Crossing Park. Police, state park rangers, and divers from several area townships responded to the call.
