OXFORD, Maine (AP) - A Maine woman has been charged with drunken driving after police say she hit a bicyclist, seriously injuring him.

The Sun Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2tlvarz ) that 37-year-old Kerstin Thorne was taken into custody after hitting a man early Wednesday in Oxford.

Police say the man was tossed onto the hood of Thorne’s SUV and landed on the other side of the road. He suffered broken bones and a concussion.

Police say the bicyclist was wearing a reflective vest.

Thorne is being held at the Oxford County Jail on a charge of operating under the influence. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer and a phone number couldn’t be reached for her.
