SHELTON, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut are investigating the death of a 4-month-old infant.

First responders received a call from a Shelton residence about an infant that wasn’t breathing at 2:30 a.m. Monday. Police say the infant was pronounced dead after being rushed to a nearby hospital.

The cause of death is not known at this time.

No further details were released.
