JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Two pedestrians were killed by traffic about two hours apart in one Florida city.

The Florida Times-Union (https://goo.gl/hKLWq6 ) reports that both deaths occurred in Jacksonville Thursday morning.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says a 45-year-old man was struck by as many as six vehicles on Interstate 95 around 5 a.m. It wasn’t clear why he was in the highway. No bicycle or vehicle was found in the area.

Two hours later, police say an 82-year-old woman was moving garbage cans in a residential area when she was hit by a small crossover vehicle and died at the scene.
