MOORESTOWN, N.J. (AP) - An elderly woman with dementia who went missing this week just before a severe storm roared through the area has been found alive.
Moorestown police say 84-year-old township resident Agnella Zapotochny was conscious and talking with rescuers when she was found Saturday morning in the woods on the southbound side of I-295. But further details about how she was found were not immediately disclosed.
Authorities say Zapotochny was taken to a hospital for an evaluation. Further information about her condition was not released.
Zapotochny was last seen late Wednesday afternoon. An intensive search involving state and local agencies was soon launched.
