NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. (AP) - Officials have recovered the body of an unidentified man who washed up at the Jersey shore.

Philly.com reports (https://bit.ly/2rVb1p2 ) the body was discovered at 9 p.m. Sunday on the North Wildwood beach. Police say the victim was wearing maroon Polo cotton shorts when he was found.

Police say there are no obvious signs of trauma. The results of an autopsy are pending.

An investigation is ongoing as police work to identify the victim.
