NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a man has been arrested after an argument between him and his brother ended with shots fired.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports that no one was injured in the Saturday afternoon incident. Police say 30-year-old Chester Brister was arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.

New Orleans Police Officer Juan Barnes Sr. says the siblings were arguing from their cars in the Little Woods neighborhood. The shooting was reported shortly before 2 p.m.

Police say Brister and his unidentified 44-year-old brother were talking when he began firing several shots from a handgun before his brother drove off. Police say Brister chased the victim but lost him.

Barnes says Brister is held at the Orleans Justice center. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
