ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A farmer has described how he discovered the body of a suburban Rochester man allegedly killed by his estranged wife, her boyfriend and the married couple’s two sons.

Testifying Monday in a Rochester courtroom where Laura Rideout, Paul Tucci and Colin and Alexander Rideout are on trial for murder, Lowell Weaver told jurors he found 50-year-old Craig Rideout’s body wrapped in a tarp and dumped in a wooded area in the Finger Lakes region.

Prosecutors say Rideout was killed in his Penfield home last summer. His body was later found wrapped in a tarp and dumped off a road in Yates County, where Weaver found it while heading to breakfast on July 20, 2016.

Police say Rideout’s face had been disfigured with a corrosive liquid in an effort to make identifying him more difficult.
