BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Firefighters on Tuesday battled five lightning-sparked wildfires burning in grass and brush in southwest Idaho.

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management says three of the fires are burning within 14 miles (23 kilometers) of Mountain Home and two more are within about 12 miles (19 kilometers) of Grandview.

Officials say firefighters are at all five fires and the largest has grown to about 6 square miles (16 square kilometers).

Officials say crews are making progress in suppressing the fires on a day with temperatures expected to be in the high 80s and winds of about 10 mph (16 kph).
