BAYONNE, N.J. (AP) - Police say they have arrested a New Jersey man for the third time this year for breaking into and rummaging through various parked cars.

Bayonne police say the 26-year-old Jersey City man was found last week entering parked cars in a mall’s parking lot. The Jersey Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2soUBom ) this is the third time this year he’s been arrested for breaking into cars.

Police Capt. Janine Foy says the suspect matched the description of a person breaking into cars all around Bayonne.

In May, the suspect was arrested and charged after witnesses saw him trying to enter parked cars on a local street and later fleeing from police. And in April, the suspect was seen by an off-duty officer pulling on car door handles in a shopping center parking lot.
