FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Fort Wayne police say a man is dead and two women have been injured in a shooting at a beauty college.

Authorities say police received a report Monday evening of an active shooter at Ravenscroft Beauty College. When officers arrived, they found a man believed to be the shooter dead.

Officials say a woman was taken to a hospital in serious condition. Her condition was later downgraded to critical. A second woman was later hospitalized in serious condition. Police say they believe the man shot the women and then turned the gun on himself.

Fort Wayne police spokesman John Chambers says after officers arrived on the scene they secured the premises and searched for the suspect and victims.

Authorities have to yet to say what sparked the incident. Neither the dead man nor the wounded woman has been identified.
