SANFORD, Miss. (AP) - A train has derailed near Lux Crossing north of Sanford, Mississippi, in Covington County.

The county’s Emergency Management Director, Greg Sanford, tells WDAM-TV ( ) no injuries were reported.

Sanford says traffic was briefly impact at the crossing Tuesday, but it’s now open to drivers. He says roads in the area are flooded and urged motorists to use caution when traveling.

Authorities say it will take officials at least 24 hours to get the train back on the tracks and moving. There’s no word on what the train was carrying.
