SAN DIEGO (AP) - Police have arrested a 28-year-old man who is accused of snatching the cash box of a Girl Scout cookie stand outside a grocery store in San Diego.

Officer Billy Hernandez said Monday that no one was hurt when the man grabbed the box with about $400 to $500 in it just after 3 p.m. Sunday and ran, dropping his cell phone. Police were able to track the man to a motel a few miles away and arrested him.

Hernandez says the cookie money has not been found.

Police say he was booked on petty theft charges.
