HELENA, Mont. (AP) - The Montana House and Senate are considering parallel bills that would fund infrastructure projects through bonds. The Senate’s bill at $98 million is much higher than the $33 million being considered by the House, whose Republican members are concerned about putting the state into debt. Here is a glance at four disputed capital building projects that are contained in the Senate bill but are not in the House version.
- Montana State University Romney Hall, $25 million.
- Southwestern Montana Veterans’ Homes, Butte: $10 million.
- Montana State University Billings science and technology building addition, $5.4 million.
- Great Falls College dental hygiene addition, $5 million.
