TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) - Police are investigating a possible hate crime after someone left a death threat inside a suburban Portland home that was burglarized and tagged with graffiti.

KGW-TV reported Thursday (https://bit.ly/2nP6LIE ) that Troutdale homeowner Hasel Afshar says he came home to find a printed-out death threat and seven bullets placed in the shape of a cross in his vandalized. The note threatened to shoot Afshar and then burn his house down.

In addition to the note, the house was covered in racially-charged graffiti and couch cushions were slashed.



Afshar, who is Iranian, says he plans to repair the damage and then sell the house.
