AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Organizers say more than 100 people participated in a march and rally in support of President Donald Trump in Augusta despite the single-digit temperatures and high winds.

The march on Saturday coincided with other March 4 Trump events around the country.

Rally organizer Jody Newman told WCSH-TV that President Donald Trump “needs our support.” She says there’s been a lot of opposition so it’s time that “we went ahead and supported him, and showed him America is behind him.”

Trump supporter Randall Bryant says he supports everything Trump has done so far.

The crowd sang, prayed and chanted the Pledge of Allegiance.

The event was also used as a food drive, which collected a van full of food for the Good Shepherd Food Bank.
