President Trump on Tuesday hailed House Republicans’ Obamacare repeal bill as “wonderful” — while also saying it’s now up for “review and negotiation.”

“Our wonderful new Healthcare Bill is now out for review and negotiation. ObamaCare is a complete and total disaster — is imploding fast!” the president tweeted.

House Republicans on Monday unveiled their long-awaited plan to overhaul the law — a plan that does away with the individual mandate requiring most Americans to obtain health insurance or face a penalty and includes a new set of tax credits to help people pay for coverage, for example.

But some conservatives have likened tax credits to a new government entitlement, and several Republican senators have expressed concerns about Medicaid funding going forward. With buy-in from Democrats unlikely, the GOP can’t afford too many defections to get the legislation — or something close to it — to Mr. Trump’s desk.

Mr. Trump offered some of his own input Tuesday morning.

“Don’t worry, getting rid of state lines, which will promote competition, will be in phase 2 & 3 of healthcare rollout,” he tweeted.

“I am working on a new system where there will be competition in the Drug Industry. Pricing for the American people will come way down!” the president also tweeted.
