Freedom Caucus member Jim Jordan Monday said that despite health care’s revisions, it’s still not the bill Republicans promised voters.
“This is not full a repeal. We need to get there,” the Ohio Republican said on MSNBC. “But we conservatives feel this is the best bill we can get out of the House.”
Mr. Jordan said that amending Obamacare is not what Republicans promised the American people and that the Senate will need to continue to make changes to the bill.
“They expect us to repeal Obamacare,” he said. “We’ve got more work to do in the Senate.”
Mr. Jordan also said the spending bill did not fulfill the expectations of voters when they voted Republicans into power.
“Our job is to do what we told the voters we would do,” he said on CNN.
Mr. Jordan did say the spending bill would pass this week, but that some conservatives wouldn’t support it.
“I think you’re going to see a lot of conservatives be against this plan this week,” he said on CBS News.
