BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont transportation officials are looking for a provider to run a bus service between Manchester and Bennington and transportation centers in the Albany, New York, area.

The contractor would be required to make a minimum of two stops in Manchester and up to two stops in Bennington before carrying the passengers to the station in Rensselaer, New York, followed by the bus station and the Albany airport.

The Bennington Banner (https://bit.ly/2pnnSS7 ) reports the contractor would be required to offer two round-trips a day.

The state says “fares and other revenue” would contribute about 15 to 20 percent of the costs by the second year of the service.

Bids to the Vermont Agency of Transportation are due by May 10.
