FLEMINGTON, N.J. (AP) - A fired corrections officer is going to prison for having a sexual relationship with an inmate.

A judge in Hunterdon County on Monday sentenced 34-year-old Thomas Seguine of Phillipsburg to 3 years in prison. He must serve 2 years before he’ll be eligible for parole.

Seguine was a senior guard at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinton Township when he was accused of engaging in a relationship with the inmate.

He pleaded guilty to official misconduct in February.
