CULLMAN, Ala. (AP) - A Cullman County man has been arrested after witnesses lodged complaints that he was sending inappropriate text messages to a minor.

The Cullman Times reports (https://bit.ly/2p41Y3P ) that 55-year-old Presley Jack Johnson Jr. was arrested Sunday. The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office says in a news release that Johnson fled in a car after deputies arrived at his home. He was arrested during a traffic stop.

He faces a felony charge of electronic solicitation of a child and was being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $30,000 bond. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.

The release says the investigation is ongoing and could lead to additional charges.
