NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (AP) - The second trial of a New York man charged with raping a child in Massachusetts has again ended in mistrial after the jury was unable to reach a verdict.

Guy Bush Jr., of Grand Island, New York, is charged with raping a 5-year-old girl in 2001 when he was living in South Hadley with her mother.

The Daily Hampshire Gazette (https://bit.ly/2pAWjp5 ) reports that jurors told the judge Monday they were deadlocked after more than 12 hours of deliberation.

The judge set Bush’s bond at $4,000. He has been in custody for nearly three years.

Prosecutors have not said if they will pursue a third trial. Bush’s first trial ended last May.

Bush has repeatedly denied the allegations.
