YORKTOWN, Va. (AP) - Police say human remains were found in York County.

Local news media outlets report that police are investigating after the remains were found Friday night in Yorktown. WAVY-TV reports that the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office says the remains belong to one person.

The sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post on Saturday that Goosley Road remains closed at Leigh and Crawford Road while its investigation continues. It says the road may remain closed well into Saturday.

The sheriff’s office has not released further details.
