CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The FBI has announced three more arrests in connection with a five-state sweep that targeted members of the United Blood Nation gang.

A spokeswoman for the FBI said Monday that four fugitives remain at large.

Prior to the latest arrests, two suspects were taken into custody Friday in Charlotte while a third turned himself in to authorities in Columbia, South Carolina, on Thursday.

Last week, federal prosecutors announced the indictment of 83 gang members as part of the crackdown on gang activity.

The U.S. Department of Justice said more than 600 federal, state and local law enforcement officers carried out the arrest warrants in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida and New York.
